I have the worst sense of direction. I am the type to get lost in a parking lot (and I have gotten lost in a parking lot). Even with Google Maps, I panic about which way to go when it tells me to "head south" or "head west" on so-and-so road. But these days, with Imo always away at work, I've had to drive to places I would rather not drive to on my own if I had a choice. Like IKEA in Covina. I guess, in a way, it's a good thing that I have no choice. There are things that must be done. Come to think of it, this situation pretty much sums up my adult life: always on the brink of getting lost, and panicked about actually being lost, pero sige lang.

I get around via Uber, while April recuperates. Most drivers don't trust GPS nor Waze. And I wonder why. Once, I asked a driver to just please use the GPS but he held up his tablet for me to see and he said, "Eto tignan mo. Wala naman alam ang GPS. Lahat ng sinasabi mong lugar -- Ortigas, White Plains, Katipunan -- hindi yan kita dito." I am like, "Huh?!?" I wonder if it is a man thing or a driver thing, the way they refuse to believe the voice that tells them where to go. Always, they will look back at me to confirm, "Tama ba ang sinasabi nito?" I am like, "Ano ba! Oo nga eh!"
